What is the impact of late Breakfast on long-term health and lifespan?

Modern research tells us that a large meta-analysis of over 20 years found that a late breakfast has a significant impact on health, and it may decrease life span and lead to health complications.

Late breakfast eaters in particular have been linked to increased risk of depression, fatigue, oral health problems, and death. Interestingly, people who eat breakfast early, e.g., around 7:50 a.m., have been found to have a lower risk of death (10-year survival rate) than those who eat breakfast late.

Furthermore, each hour that breakfast is late increases the risk of death by 8–11%. Consistently eating breakfast late can also lead to underlying health problems such as depression, sleep disorders, or physical weakness. This is why breakfast timing is also called a “health marker”.

The early breakfast has several other advantages, like early completion of necessary work and early wake-up, which could increase physical exercise of the body and results a healthy life, if one manages their breakfast properly.
