With the special approval of the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the dedicated efforts of the Focal Person for Minority Affairs, Wazir Zada, significant progress has been made towards the protection and improvement of religious sites belonging to minority communities in the province. In this regard, the Department of Auqaf and Religious Affairs has approved Rs. 100 million for the construction of boundary walls around cremation grounds and graveyards of minority communities located in various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Department of Auqaf and Religious Affairs has formally directed the concerned Executive Engineers to prepare the PC-I of these projects at the earliest, ensuring their timely approval and release of funds.
Expressing his views, the Chief Minister’s Focal Person for Minority Affairs, Wazir Zada, said that under the special directives of the Chief Minister, practical steps are being taken to resolve the longstanding issues of minority communities. He emphasised that the provincial government has placed the respect of minority religious sites and the provision of a secure environment among its top priorities.
