The federal government transferred and posted several high-level bureaucrats of various cadres on Wednesday.
In a significant change, Inamullah Khan Dharejo, the current Secretary of the Establishment Division, has been removed from his position and appointed as the new Secretary to the President. Nabil Ahmed Awan, a Grade 22 officer from the Pakistan Administrative Service who was previously serving in the Punjab government, has been appointed as the new Secretary of the Establishment Division.
Additionally, the federal government has made key appointments in the Defence Production Division. Major General Abu Bakr Shahbaz has been appointed as Additional Secretary for Defence Production on a deputation/secondment basis for a duration of three years. This appointment is effective immediately and will remain in force until further notice.
According to a private television report, the Establishment Division has issued an official notification regarding all appointments and transfers.
