SINGAPORE: The researchers have claimed to develop a new sunscreen that can protect skin against harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays but will also be useful in lowering the skin’s temperature.
According to details, the researchers from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore said that the new sunscreen is environmentally friendly compared to conventional skin products. Unlike typical sunscreens that often use chemicals like titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, this new formula is made using extracts from camellia flowers, they claimed.

The newly developed sunscreen proved to be as effective as commercially available products in UV protection.
