A high-level summit involving Egypt, Jordan, and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) is underway today in Riyadh, focusing on the reconstruction of Gaza.
The meeting, convened at the invitation of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, aims to present an alternative plan to the one previously proposed by former U.S. President Donald Trump.
Saudi officials have confirmed that the discussions will center on a reconstruction proposal put forward by Egypt. The gathering includes the President of Egypt, the King of Jordan, and the leaders of the GCC member states.
Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry emphasized that the goal of the summit is to create a comprehensive, multi-dimensional strategy for the swift rehabilitation and rebuilding of Gaza.
