KP cabinet approves Ramzan package for needy families

PESHAWAR: The 25th provincial cabinet meeting was held in the chair with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur.

During the meeting, the cabinet approved funds for a Ramadan/Eid package for one million poor families across the province.

The Chief Minister directed officials to ensure a transparent package for the poor, orphans, and transgenders.

and the distribution of the money was directed to be completed before 15 Ramzan.

Addressing the cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur said that the package should be provided to the poor, orphans and transgender people in a transparent manner.

He directed that poor families affected by terrorism should be included in the package. He said that the package should be given to all transgender people of the province, and the distribution of the package should be completed before 15 Ramzan.

During the meeting, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur also issued instructions to pay the salaries and pensions of government employees on February 25.

The cabinet meeting approved an annual grant of Rs 4.920 million for 15 orphan students studying in Abbottabad Public School and approved the conversion of Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium into Imran Khan Cricket Stadium.

In accordance with the Supreme Court’s decision, funds were approved for the Cadet College Swat Phase-III project under the increase in land cost, approval to release Rs 1028.673 million for the salaries of 3687 teachers of the Elementary and Secondary Education Foundation, amendments to the Motor Vehicle Rules 1969 for better inspection of bus stands and a grant for the Auqaf Department.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet approved a monthly internship scheme of Rs 31,000 for BS Nursing graduates.

The meeting also approved amendments to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government Rules of Business 1985 for Science, Technology and IT.
