Pakistan faces a tough challenge after setting a target of 242 runs for India

KARACHI: In the fifth match of the Champions Trophy, Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first against India and set a target of 242 runs for India in the first inning.

Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq opened the innings for Pakistan at the Dubai International Stadium, while fast bowler Mohammad Shami bowled the first over for India. According to the details, Imam-ul-Haq was also run out after Babar Azam.

The Pakistani openers started the innings responsibly and cautiously and took the team’s score to 26 runs in 6 overs.

Earlier, while talking after the toss in Dubai, Pakistan cricket team captain Mohammad Rizwan said that our team will perform well in today’s match.

Mohammad Rizwan said that there has been a change in the team for today’s match, Imam-ul-Haq has been included in the team in place of Fakhar Zaman.

He said that our players are compatible with the conditions here, every match of the ICC tournament is important, the pitch may be slow today, and there is less chance of dew in the evening.

Later, Indian captain Rohit Sharma said that if we had won the toss, we would have bowled, it doesn’t matter to us if Pakistan wins the toss, today’s pitch is also the same as the previous match.

Rohit Sharma said that we have experienced batsmen, no changes have been made in the team, it is important for all players to perform in today’s match.
