‘KP government's focus only on Adiala Jail, says Shagufta Malik

ISLAMABAD: Awami National Party (ANP) leader and former member of the provincial assembly, Shagufta Malik, while expressing her views in the Pakhtun Digital Podcast, said that the provincial government focus is only Adiala Jail.

Elaborating on the situation in Kurram Agency, “Kurram situation has reached such a point that people have been forced to relocate. Several villages are being evacuated, but the provincial government has not even condemned these conditions, let alone taken steps to establish peace,”

Ms Malik commented that for the last 13 years, the government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been only nominal. If it is said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been a politically orphan province for the last 13 years, it would not be wrong.

Criticising the ruling party of the KP, she says the Tehreek-I-Insaf government knows that they did not come with the people’s vote, which is why the people are nowhere included in their priorities. There is no strategy regarding peace in the province.
