KALASH: A Kashmiri ibex was hunted in Chitral’s Kalash Valley for the first time here on Sunday.
The hunt took place in the buffer zone of Chitral Gol National Park, specifically in the Rumbur area.
An American hunter obtained the permit for the hunt at a cost of Rs 12,577,500.
To celebrate the successful hunt, a grand event was held in Kalash’s Rumbur Valley, where people of Kalash performed their traditional dances.
As a matter of honour, the American hunter was presented with a traditional Kalash robe and garlands of flowers.
