‘America still financially supporting Afghanistan’, claims, ANP leader

ISLAMABAD: The provincial general secretary of the Awami National Party (ANP) has claimed that the effort to seek the return of weapons from Afghanistan is merely an attempt to deceive the international community.

He expressed these views during the “Pakhtun Digital Podcast” held in Peshawar, where he discussed the security situation in the region and the role of American interference in South Asian countries.

“The United States pays the salaries of the Taliban and sends cash in containers to Afghanistan, intentionally leaving behind weapons while claiming they want them back,” explained the ANP leader, who is also a former provincial minister.

He emphasized that the U.S. does not respect the sovereignty of Asian countries and continually strives to destabilize them for its interests.

Mr Babak expressed a desire for lasting peace and improved bilateral relations with neighbouring countries in the region.

He noted, “America is still providing financial support to Afghanistan,” according to the ANP leader.
