KARAK: At least two children died after the roof collapsed due to rain in Karak, while a mother and son were injured.
According to rescue sources, the incident took place in the New Colony of Karak Terry City, where the roof of a room in the house of Afghan refugee Akhtar Zaman suddenly collapsed after the rain.
Two children died on the spot due to the roof collapse, while the mother and son were injured.
The deceased children include Muhammadullah, aged 7, and Iqra, aged four and a half.
On the other hand, the roof of a house suddenly collapsed during heavy rain near the City Hospital on Kohat Road. Three people were injured in the incident.
As soon as the information about the incident was received, rescue teams, ambulances and medical staff reached the spot and started rescue operations. The teams pulled the injured out of the debris, provided first aid and shifted them to the hospital.
