Car mishap claims three lives in Hazro

SWAT: Including women, and three persons were killed and seven others were injured when a Rawalpind-bound vehicle met an accident near the Ghazi area of Attock district.

According to police the vehicle going from Buner to Rawalpindi met with an accident, killing 3 people, including two women from Rustam and Buner, while 7 were injured.

The injured were shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Hazro for first aid.

The accident took place near Ghazi Interchange within the limits of Hazro Police Station. According to the Highways and Motorway Police North Zone, the accident occurred due to the negligence and carelessness of the driver. The passenger bus was going from Buner to Rawalpindi, in 10 people including the driver and conductor were on board. As a result of the accident, 3 people, including 2 women, were seriously injured, while 7 people received minor injuries. Later, the seriously injured people succumbed to their injuries and died upon reaching the hospital.

The deceased include Masmi Gul Baz, son of Muhammad Sadiq, resident of Buner, Masmi Shamim, wife of Saadullah, resident of Rustam, Mardan, and an 11-year-old unidentified girl.

As soon as the accident was reported, the Motorway Police and Hazro Police reached the spot. The injured were immediately shifted to THQ Hospital Hassan Abdal and later to THQ Hazro. According to the Motorway Police spokesperson, the spot has been secured by taking all precautionary measures, while further operations are underway.
