Advocate Qaiser Khan Miankhel, the Divisional President of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and a candidate for the District Bar presidency, has been successfully rescued after being abducted by unidentified individuals.
The incident occurred yesterday in the Sagu area of Dera Ismail Khan while Miankhel was returning to the city after attending his cousin’s funeral prayers in Daraban.
Miankhel remained in the custody of his kidnappers for over 24 hours before being safely recovered.
Further details regarding the rescue operation and the circumstances of his abduction have not yet been disclosed.
The incident has raised concerns over the security situation in the region, particularly for political figures and public representatives.
