Ehtisham Calls for Immediate Action Following Rain-Induced Disasters in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Advisor Ehtesham Ali expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and property caused by recent rains, which he said have also created health hazards in the region.

Ali emphasized the need for immediate assistance to establish swift and effective communication with all relevant authorities and health institutions.

He confirmed that all District Health Officers (DHOs) and Medical Superintendents (MSs) are actively addressing the situation, with efforts underway to ensure a timely response to emergencies.

The Health Advisor highlighted that an air ambulance, provided under the directive of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, is available for public use, and the government is prepared to deploy it as needed.

Additionally, he noted that the General Police Services have been contacted to ensure the police control system remains fully operational.

Ali also called on the health and meteorological departments to closely monitor the situation and submit prompt reports. A control room will be established to coordinate medical facilities and rescue services efficiently, he said.

He directed all Medical Teaching Institutions (MTIs) to take necessary measures to handle referral cases on a case-by-case basis, ensuring preparedness across regions.

Ehtesham Ali affirmed that all relevant public institutions are collaborating to safeguard lives and property, and the government is fully equipped to manage any emerging challenges.
