Bangladesh mulls hosting Pakistan for white-ball series

LAHORE: The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is considering a white-ball series against Pakistan in July-August. Discussions are ongoing, but no final decision has been made. Both boards remain optimistic. The proposed series includes three ODIs and three T20Is.

Media reports indicate that PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and BCB President Faruque Ahmed discussed the matter in Dubai during the Champions Trophy. Bangladesh is already set to tour Pakistan in late May for three ODIs and three T20Is under the ICC Future Tours Programme (FTP).

The BCB is now exploring the possibility of hosting Pakistan for another series. BCB Cricket Operations Head Shahriar Nafees confirmed the discussions, stating that both boards have shown a positive stance.

After the Champions Trophy, Bangladesh will play a two-Test series against Zimbabwe in mid-April. The matches will take place in Sylhet and Chattogram.

Sri Lanka will tour Bangladesh in June-July for two Tests, three ODIs, and three T20Is. India will visit in August-September for the same format.

In September, Bangladesh will compete in the Asia Cup in India. The West Indies will tour in October for three Tests and three T20Is. The year will end with Ireland’s visit for two Tests, three ODIs, and three T20Is.
