Rain, Snow, and Thunderstorms Forecast in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The Pakistan  Meteorological Department forecasts widespread rain, wind, thunderstorms, and snowfall over hills across various regions from Thursday to February 28.

Heavy rain and snowfall are expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and upper/central Punjab, with possible hailstorms. Areas like Murree, Galliyat, Naran, Kaghan, Dir, Swat, and others may face road closures, slippery conditions, and landslides.

KP will see widespread rain, thunderstorms, and snowfall, particularly in Dir, Chitral, Swat, and Peshawar.

Recent rainfall included Garhidupatta (71mm), Dir Upper (52mm), and Balakot (48mm), while snowfall was recorded in Kalam (16 inches) and Skardu (11 inches).

The lowest temperatures were Parachinar (-5°C) and Leh (-3°C). Authorities urge caution and advise staying updated on weather conditions.
