PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Health Department has announced relaxation in the ban on transfers of government employees here on Thursday. According to the notification issued on Thursday by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa health department, transfers of employees from grade 3 to 16 would be possible, however, this process has been made subject to certain conditions.

The notification has said that prior input from the Independent Monitoring Unit (IMU) will be mandatory before transfers so that services in the health sector are not affected.

According to the health department, this policy aims to improve medical facilities and make the system more efficient in the best interest of the public.

Earlier this year, a complete ban was imposed on transfers and postings of health department employees across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
