PESHAWAR: In a significant move to support women in the legal profession, the Senior Judge of the Peshawar High Court (PHC), Muhammad Fahim Wali, on Friday inaugurated an expanded bar room designed to provide special facilities for women lawyers.
This project has been completed under the Access to Justice Development Fund, which aims to create a safe and comfortable environment for women lawyers, enabling them to conduct their professional affairs more effectively.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Justice Aurangzeb, a judge at the Peshawar High Court Abbottabad Bench; Muhammad Shoaib, District and Sessions Judge Abbottabad; Haq Nawaz, Additional Registrar; and Atif Jadoon, President of the District Bar Association Abbottabad.
Along with numerous senior lawyers and representatives of the judiciary.
During the ceremony, Justice Muhammad Fahim Wali emphasized that improving facilities for women lawyers is a positive development. He noted that the judiciary is taking significant steps to support the inclusion of women and enhance facilities for them.
District Bar Association President Atif Jadoon expressed gratitude to the Peshawar High Court and the District Judiciary for the practical implementation of this project, describing it as an important milestone for the legal community.
