NOWSHERA: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed said that the elements behind the suicide attack on Maulana Hamidul Haq will face justice.
The police chief visited the Darul Uloom Haqqania Akora Khattak and inspected security arrangements for the funeral.
He later later chaired a meeting at the DPO office Nowshera, attended by Regional Police Officer Najeeb-ur-Rehman, SP Investigation Nowshera, and CTD officers.
Officials briefed him on the damage caused by the attack and the ongoing investigation.
On this occasion, he condemned the attack on Darul Uloom Haqqania, calling it a cowardly act by enemies of the country.
He instructed officers to use their expertise to track down those responsible. “Such cowardly acts cannot shake our morale,” he said.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police will work alongside the people to eliminate terrorism and restore peace, he assured. The martyrdom of Maulana Hamidul Haq and others is a deep loss for the nation, he added.
He reaffirmed that terrorists will not succeed in their evil intentions. “We will fight back and make this country a cradle of peace,” he declared.
