Pakistan sights Ramazan moon, first fast tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: The Ramazan moon has been sighted across Pakistan, and the first fast will be observed tomorrow, Sunday, March 2, 2025.

Likewise, India and Bangladesh will also commence Ramazan from tomorrow.

President Asif Ali Zardari extended heartfelt greetings to the nation and the Muslim Ummah on the arrival of Ramazan 2025, describing it as a month of mercy, forgiveness, and salvation.

In his message, the president emphasised that Ramazan instils values of patience, empathy, equality, self-purification, unity, and devotion to Allah.

He urged the nation to embrace the spirit of charity and extend support to those in need.

“Ramazan offers an opportunity for both personal and collective reflection, reminding us to assist the less fortunate and recognise their hardships,” he said.

President encouraged people to give generously and take special care of the underprivileged, emphasising the importance of standing by them beyond one’s means.

He prayed for peace, stability, progress, and prosperity in Pakistan and asked for Allah’s guidance in strengthening the nation’s patience, piety, and compassion.
