BANNU: Two powerful explosions reported this evening from Banu as terrorists stormed the cantonment spreading a severe panic in the area, however, security forces thwarted the attack and killed terrorists.
As reported by local media, the sound of the explosions was heard far and wide, while security forces immediately surrounded the area.
According to sources, after the explosions, heavy aerial firing was carried out by security forces, while rescue teams also reached the spot.
Police officials said that investigations are underway to find out the nature of the explosions. According to initial reports, one explosion was a suicide blast while the other was a vehicle explosion packed with explosives.
