Peshawar: Chief Minister CM of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa KP , Ali Amin Gandapur, visited the under-construction Peshawar Bus Terminal project on Tuesday to review the progress of the project, which is set to be completed by June this year. Accompanied by provincial cabinet members Arshad Ayub Khan, Rangiz Ahmed, and Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, the Chief Minister was briefed on the various aspects of the project, which is being constructed at a cost of Rs 3.67 billion.
According to a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office, the bus terminal, spanning 323 kanals, is now 75% complete. Once operational, it will serve as a modern transportation hub equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including a mosque, car parking, rest areas, washrooms, a solar energy system, and CCTV cameras for enhanced security.

During his visit, CM Gandapur inspected the ongoing construction work and emphasized the importance of completing the project within the stipulated timeline. He stated that the new bus terminal would not only provide modern amenities to commuters but also significantly alleviate traffic congestion in Peshawar city.
“The Peshawar Bus Terminal will be a state-of-the-art facility, and its completion will greatly reduce traffic-related issues in the city,” said Gandapur. He directed the concerned officials to ensure that the project progresses according to the set timelines and is completed without further delay.
The project, once completed, is expected to streamline public transportation in the region and provide a comfortable and secure travel experience for passengers. The Chief Minister’s visit underscores the provincial government’s commitment to improving infrastructure and addressing urban challenges in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
