PESHAWAR. Senior journalist Aqeel Yousafzai has said that there were 150 attacks in Pakistan in February, including 58 guerrilla attacks. Out of these 150 attacks, 147 took place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Now the situation is that an undeclared war has started in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
Expressing his views in the Pakhtun Digital Podcast, Aqeel Yousafzai said that the situation at the Torkham border for the past ten days could not have been expected from the Afghan Taliban. Because of Afghanistan, Pakistan has been facing many problems at the international level, and today the same Afghanistan is ready to fight Pakistan.
He further said that the investment of ‘anti-Pakistan’ forces in Afghanistan is increasing a lot and that is why Afghanistan is promoting the anti-Pakistan narrative in its own country.
Aqeel Yousafzai said that the current leadership of Afghanistan is divided into three groups on the issue of relations with Pakistan. The Kandahar group of the Afghan Taliban has a soft spot for Pakistan, while the Haqqani network is involved in anti-Pakistan activities. There is another group that is more liberal in its thinking than both of them, and this is the group that played a major role in the Qatar agreement.
