PESHAWAR: The World Health Organisation (WHO) has given medicines and medical equipment worth Rs. 70 million to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
WHO representative Dr. Luo Dapeng met Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Advisor Ehtesham Ali. They discussed ways to improve healthcare in the province. During the meeting, WHO handed over medicines and modern medical equipment.
The aid includes ultrasound machines, X-ray machines, PCR machines, and other essential tools.
Health Advisor Ehtesham Ali thanked WHO for its support. He praised the organisation for always standing with the health department in tough times. He urged WHO to provide more help in primary healthcare and immunisation. He also requested continued support for remote areas.

Dr. Luo Dapeng appreciated the warm welcome. He acknowledged the challenges in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s health sector. He noted that President Donald Trump’s financial policies have affected WHO’s funding. However, he assured that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa remains a priority. He also promised full support in fighting dengue this year.
