UN Condemns Balochistan Train Terror Attack

The United Nations UN  has strongly condemned a terrorist attack on a passenger train in Balochistan, Pakistan, where armed militants took several hostages, including women and children.

The attack occurred on Tuesday on a train travelling from Quetta to Peshawar.

UN Secretary-General’s Spokesperson, Stephane Dujarric, addressed the situation during a briefing in New York, stating, “We condemn any hostage-taking and urge those responsible to release the hostages immediately.” He added that the UN is closely monitoring the situation.

According to media reports citing secourity sources , Pakistani security forces have launched a rescue operation, successfully freeing some hostages.

The operation is ongoing, with authorities vowing to continue until all attackers are neutralized.

The incident has drawn widespread concern, with calls for the safe release of all remaining hostages.
