Pakistan’s auto sector experienced a significant decline in February, with overall vehicle sales dropping by 29%.
Total sales for the month fell to 12,000 units, down from 16,995 units in January 2025.
Passenger vehicle sales saw a sharp decline, falling from 11,868 units to 8,869.
Sales of vehicles with engines of 1,300 cc and above dropped by 15% to 4,700 units. Smaller vehicles also struggled, with 1,000 cc vehicle sales down by 32% and sales of vehicles below 1,000 cc falling by 35% to 3,680 units.

In the commercial vehicle segment, truck sales decreased by 26%, while bus sales saw a 15% increase.
Motorcycle sales also declined by 7%, dropping from 132,947 units in January to 122,920 units in February.
The auto sector’s downturn reflects broader economic challenges, including rising prices and reduced consumer spending.
