Jaffar Express Attack: Suicide bombers positioned among hostages as forces continue operation

 

BOLAN: At least 33 terrorists have been killed, and 21 passengers and four FC men were martyred as the operation against terrorists came to an end in Khichi Balochistan.

Terrorists of the proscribed Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) had taken over 400 passengers hostage after they attacked the Peshawar-bound Jaffar Express.

Security forces have completed the operation against terrorists in the attack on the Jaffar Express in Balochistan, where 21 passengers were martyred while all the terrorists were killed. 4 FC personnel were also martyred during the operation.

Director General (DG) of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of Pakistan Army, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that 440 people were on board the Jaffar Express.

“Now rules of the game have changed, terrorists have nothing to do with Islam,” says DG ISPR

He said that the SSG, Air Force Police participated in the operation. In the first phase, the suicide bomber was targeted, who was accompanied by a group of passengers and terrorists.

DG ISPR said that the security forces have completed the operation, and no passenger was harmed during the operation, however, 21 people were martyred before the operation, while 33 terrorists were killed.

According to the ISPR, the bomb disposal squad is busy searching the train. The terrorists were in touch with their facilitators in Afghanistan.

He said that no one is allowed to harm the citizens of Pakistan.
