ISLAMABAD: Former premier and founding chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has filed a writ petition in Islamabad High Court on Thursday.
In his petition, Imran Khan requested the court to declare transfer of three judges to Islamabad High Court null and void.
He requested the court to order to ensure transparency in the context of the Al-Jihad Trust case.
The petition read that the court should declare that the use of Article 200 is possible only after detailed consultation.
In his petition, he alleged that sitting judges of the IHC are being subjected to revenge for raising voices against interference in the judiciary. The judges of the Islamabad High Court had disposed of cases against me on merit.
He said that a judge transferred to IHC and made acting Chief Justice without taking oath.
He said that all these practices are being tried to minimize the independence of the judiciary.
