PESHAWAR: The City Traffic Police Peshawar has introduced a comprehensive traffic management plan to ensure smooth traffic flow during Eid-ul-Fitr.
The plan was finalised in a meeting chaired by Chief Traffic Officer Haroon Rashid Khan, where key measures were discussed and announced.
As part of the traffic plan, four SPs, 12 DSPs, and over 1,000 traffic wardens have been deployed across the city. Additionally, 54 motorcycle riders and 18 forklifts will be on duty to assist in managing congestion and maintaining order on the roads.
Chief Traffic Officer Haroon Rashid Khan emphasized that strict legal action will be taken against one-wheelers, unregistered vehicles, fancy number plates, and the use of tinted windows. Citizens have also been urged to avoid illegal parking and any actions that could disrupt traffic flow, as violations will result in strict penalties.
The Chief Traffic Officer further appealed to the public to follow traffic rules and cooperate with traffic police officials during the Eid holidays to ensure a hassle-free travel experience. He assured that the City Traffic Police will provide immediate assistance wherever needed.
This traffic plan aims to facilitate citizens, ensuring they do not face travel difficulties and that traffic remains smooth throughout Eid-ul-Fitr.
