Eidul Fitr 2025: Ruet-e-Hilal Committee to meet today

BAJAUR: Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated locally in Bajaur district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday, following the sighting of the Shawwal moon in several countries, including Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

Local mosques have also confirmed moon sighting timings and Eid prayer schedules for Sunday.

Meanwhile, Awami National Party (ANP) Central President Senator Aimal Wali Khan has also declared that Eid-ul-Fitr will be observed on Sunday, in line with the Muslim world’s celebrations.

In his special Eid message, Senator Aimal Wali Khan extended heartfelt greetings to Muslims worldwide and expressed solidarity with the oppressed people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

Acknowledging the challenging situation, he emphasized that this year’s Eid will be observed with simplicity, urging people to avoid large gatherings and prioritize health and safety measures.

He further stated that, given the circumstances, the traditional Eid gathering at Wali Bagh will not take place this time.
