TANK: Authorities have announced a partial curfew in Tank and various parts of South Waziristan tomorrow. The district administration issued a notification, citing security concerns.
A notification from the Deputy Commissioner Tank office stated that curfew has been imposed at the main route from Kaur Fort, Kirri Wam to Jandola. Dabra Bazaar will remain completely closed. However, Kaur Fort to Wana via Gomal will stay open for passengers. Authorities have advised travelers to use alternative routes. The curfew will remain in effect from 6am to 6pm.
Similarly partial curfew has been imposed in Lower South Waziristan. Notification stated that Inzar Chian to Torwan road and Shakai to Torwan road will remain closed for traffic due to security concerns. The general public was requested to cooperate with security forces.
Notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner South Waziristan Upper read that consequent upon the request of Law Enforcement Agencies and keeping in view the heightened threat, complete curfew is hereby imposed on several routes in South Waziristan district Upper.
