A transgender person was killed by armed motorcyclists on the Nizam Pahar-Khairabad main road, in Nowshera district.
According to the police armed masked motorcyclists opened fire on a flying coach, which was carrying the transgenders.
In this regard, the police say that as a result of the shooting, a transgender person named Shagufta died on the spot, while the armed motorcyclists fled after the locals gathered.
Police sources have said that while returning from Nizampur, masked motorcyclists opened fire on the way. The transgender person died in this incident. A heavy contingent of police also reached the spot.
The body of the deceased transgender Shagufta was shifted to Qazi Hussain Ahmed Medical Complex, Nowshera, for postmortem.
