ISLAMABAD: The Interior Ministry on Monday approved the deployment of the Pakistan Army and Rangers for the security of the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 20025.

The tournament will begin on April 11. Six teams will participate, and matches will be held in Multan, Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Karachi.

The decision was made under Article 245 of the Constitution. The deployment was authorized under Sections 4 and 5 of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997.

Army and Rangers will assist the police. The aim is to prevent any untoward incident.

Requests for deployment were made by the Cabinet Division, provincial governments, and the Chief Commissioner of Islamabad.

The final will be played in Lahore on May 18. The first match will take place on April 11. Islamabad United will face Lahore Qalandars at Pindi Cricket Stadium.
