PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur strongly condemned the Rawalpindi police for detaining Imran Khan’s sisters and senior party leaders outside Adiala Jail.
He said police not only arrested Aleema Khan, Uzma Khan, Noreen Niazi, and Hamid Raza, and later released 80 kilometers away from Adiala — an act he called “inhumane, unlawful, and intolerable.” He said that they will be held accountable when the time comes.
Calling it the worst form of state oppression, Gandapur said the Form 47 government is relentlessly violating human rights in its crackdown on PTI leaders. “This illegal regime disregards court orders, abuses its power, and is driving the country toward anarchy,” he said.
The chief minister praised the courage of the women leaders and vowed to continue the fight against what he called “state fascism” until Imran Khan’s release.
He urged the judiciary to take immediate notice or guide the nation on where to seek justice.
