UOM harassment allegations: Investigation finds no evidence

 

The investigation team looking into the alleged harassment incident at Malakand University  in February found no evidence supporting the claims of objectionable videos after completing their inquiry.

The inquiry committee has sent a report to the provincial government, stating that action has been taken against the professor involved in the alleged harassment incident.

According to sources, no immoral videos of female students were found on the professor’s mobile phone, and the claim of four thousand indecent videos of female students was also proven to be false, and there is no gang in the university to make immoral videos of female students and teachers.

Sources said that some elements shared unrelated posts to defame Malakand University. The inquiry committee recommended that harassment committees of universities be activated to redress complaints and that the administration approach the FIA ​​against those defaming Malakand University.

The inquiry committee recommended that female and male teachers take care of their status, and that seminars be organized in educational institutions to raise awareness about harassment. It should be noted that the professor was suspended by the Malakand University administration and arrested by the Levies for the harassment incident.
