Petrol prices may be slashed

ISLAMABAD: Petrol price in Pakistan is likely to drop massively following the continuous decline in crude oil prices in the international market.

As per details, prices of petroleum products are also likely to see a significant reduction in Pakistan as the international market witnessed huge drop in crude oil prices.

Crude oil prices in the international market are trending downward, due to which there is a possibility of a decrease in the per liter prices of petroleum products in Pakistan as well. As per media reports, consumers may receive welcome relief at the pumps for the next fortnight starting from April 16.

At a time when the government has already announced a reduction in the per unit price of electricity, the expected reduction in the prices of petroleum products will be a big relief for the public.

According to media reports, the prices of petrol and diesel are likely to decrease by up to Rs 12 per liter from April 16 this month.

Currently, petrol is being sold at Rs254.63 per litre and diesel at Rs258.64 per litre.
