PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has decided to pay the salaries and pensions of government employees belonging to the Christian community on April 20 because of their religious festival of Easter.
In this regard, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Department has issued a letter to the administrative secretaries of all departments and heads of attached departments.
The letter said that under the Federal Treasury Rules 2017, if a religious festival falls in the last ten days of the month, all government employees will be paid their salaries and pensions five days before the religious festival.
Therefore, arrangements should be made to distribute their salaries and pensions on April 20 because of the religious festival of the Christian community.
