Advisor to the Prime Minister and senior PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah stated that Pakistan’s current political situation will not improve unless political parties come together to sign a new democratic charter. Speaking on SAMAA TV’s *Red Line*, he criticized the PTI, saying the party is “confused” and causing confusion in national politics, which is harming democracy.
Sanaullah argued that PTI’s approach of seeking talks with the establishment instead of other political leaders would not resolve the country’s issues. “Political leadership must unite to solve problems,” he said, adding that PTI’s founder only wants to engage with the establishment, which is not the solution.
The PML-N leader also referenced past negotiation attempts, accusing PTI of abandoning talks. He condemned the arrest of PTI leader Aun Abbas, calling the method “harassment.” Sanaullah claimed that during PTI’s government, problems were worse than they are now, and with political cooperation, issues could be resolved faster.

He emphasized that unless parties hold serious discussions and draft a new democratic agreement, the current political deadlock will continue. “Big speeches won’t help—only dialogue and unity can bring change,” he said.
