MARDAN: A heartbreaking incident occurred in Rustam, Mardan, where seven members of a family fell seriously ill after eating poisoned roti (bread) during breakfast. The poisoning happened when pesticide stored with wheat accidentally mixed into the flour used to make the bread.
The victims—three men, three women, and one child—were given first aid and rushed to Mardan Medical Complex (MMC) by rescue teams. Family members said three of them are in critical condition.

The affected individuals have been identified as Abdul Shahid, Abdul Qadeer, Qaiser Ali, Samreen, Zainab, Sadaqat, and Ranra. Doctors are providing urgent treatment, while authorities investigate how the poison got into the food. Efforts are being made to prevent such accidents in the future.
