PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has announced free transport for female students in remote districts.
The scheme will first cover areas like Kohistan, Torghar, Hangu, and Lakki Marwat. These regions often see low attendance due to transport issues.
Other districts, including Dera Ismail Khan, Charsadda, Kohat, and Bannu, will also be added.
District Education Officers have been told to start the project without delay.
The aim is to remove transport as a hurdle to education.
