BAP asks Mengal to end protest sit-in

QUETTA: Khalid Magsi, leader of the Balochistan Awami Party, urged BNP (Mengal) Chief Akhtar Mengal to end the sit-in. He offered to hold talks to address Mengal’s demands.

Magsi said talks are the only way to bring some relief to the people. He made these remarks during a press conference in Quetta on Tuesday.

“What will we gain by blocking roads and highways?” he asked. “It will only add to the people’s problems,” he added.

Magsi warned that the state will act if anyone creates chaos or causes trouble. He said the state must draw a line and take action when needed to protect the public.

He also warned protestors against disturbing peace or using people’s rights for political gain. He urged the BNP chief to put politics aside and start talks in the national interest.
