More hailstorm, heavy rain likely to hit Rawalpindi, Islamabad today

ISLAMABAD: The National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC) has issued a weather alert for Punjab. Heavy rain, hailstorms, and strong winds are expected in several areas, including Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

Stormy weather may hit Attock, Chakwal, Gujrat, and Jhelum. Central Punjab districts like Faisalabad, Hafizabad, Jhang, Khushab, Mianwali, Lahore, Narowal, Sahiwal, Sargodha, and Sheikhupura are also at risk.

The NEOC warns that strong winds and heavy rain could cause power outages, falling trees, and accidents. Standing crops face a high risk of damage.

Officials have advised farmers to take preventive steps. The public should avoid unnecessary travel during the storm. People must stay away from weak structures, electric poles, and trees.

The NEOC repeated its warning about power breakdowns and crop damage. It urged everyone to stay alert and take safety precautions.
