Hujra of MPA Iqbal Wazir set on fire in North Waziristan

North Waziristan: Unknown men set fire to the hujra of Iqbal Wazir, a former provincial minister and current MPA, in Shewah late last night.

The blaze partially damaged several rooms of the hujra.

Police said the fire reduced the belongings to ashes.

No casualties were reported.

Iqbal Wazir was reelected as MPA from PK-103 on the platform of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Parliamentarians, a party formed by former defence minister Pervez Khattak after parting ways with Imran Khan’s PTI.

Police have launched an investigation.

The PTIP has two members in the 145-member KP Assembly.

Earlier last night, at least three people were shot dead in a firing incident in Bagan area of Lower Kurram, police confirmed on Friday.
According to the local police, gunmen opened fire on individuals trying to cross the river from Alizai last night.
Rescue teams recovered the bodies from the Kurram River.
