Ishaq Dar heads to Kabul for high-level talks today

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will visit Afghanistan today for a one-day trip. He will travel with a high-level delegation.

During the visit, Dar will meet Afghanistan’s Acting Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hasan Akhund. He will also hold talks with Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi.

Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan highlighted the visit’s importance. He said both sides will focus on Afghanistan’s security situation.

Yesterday, a delegation from the Afghan government met Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry and Secretary of Interior Muhammad Khurram Agha. They discussed transit trade and the repatriation of Afghan nationals.
