Abbottabad police bust gang issuing fake NICs to Afghan citizens

The Abbottabad Cantt Police recently took action against a gang involved in issuing fake Pakistani identity cards to Afghan citizens. Following the special instructions from District Police Chief Omar Tufail (PSP), SHO Cadet Abdul Ghafoor Qureshi conducted the operation that resulted in the arrest of several individuals.

Those apprehended include Saqib, son of Javed, a resident of Islamabad; Naeem, son of Abdul Jalil, from Kehal; Sami, son of Ehsanullah, a resident of Afghanistan; and Abdul Jalil, son of Khalil-ur-Rehman.

A case against them has been registered at the Cantt Police Station under Sections 419, 468, and 471 of the Pakistan Penal Code, as well as Section 14 of the Foreigners Act. An investigation is currently ongoing. The Abbottabad Police enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding forgery, illegal residency, and the misuse of national documents.
