Pakistan Sets Deadline for Afghan Citizen Card Holders to Leave

Islamabad: The Pakistani government has told Afghan Citizen Card (ACC) holders and other illegal foreigners to leave the country by March 31, 2025.

The Ministry of Interior in a statement announced that a program to send back illegally staying foreigners started on November 1, 2023.

Now, all illegal foreigners, including ACC holders, must leave voluntarily by the given date. If they don’t, the deportation process will begin on April 1, 2025.

The government said Afghan citizens have been given enough time to return respectfully.

Pakistan is acting as a responsible country and expects everyone living there to follow the law.

The statement also assured that no one will be mistreated during the process, and food and healthcare will be provided to those returning.
