Afghanistan directly involved in attacks in Pakistan: Barrister Saif

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government spokesperson and information advisor Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif has said that Afghanistan is directly involved in terror incidents in the country but the federal government is not taking any effective steps in this regard.

Hit hard at the federal government, he said that the federal government should take the issue seriously and avoid differences to adopt effective steps for countering terrorism.

Responding to PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto’s recent remarks, Barrister Saif said that first he should focus on the law and order situation in the Balochistan where his party is ruling. Instead, criticising Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he should focus on his own province,” read the statement.

An entire train was held hostage in Balochistan while in Sindh, dacoits are openly roaming around, it added.

He further went on to say that incidents of robbery and robbery are happening on a daily basis in Karachi. But the rulers themselves have been found involved in supplying weapons to the dacoits.

Barrister Saif said that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari kept travelling around the world as Foreign Minister, but did not bother to go to Afghanistan. Although Afghanistan is clearly behind the incidents of terrorism in the country. In such a situation, the government should raise the issue with the Afghan government.

He kept criticising the federal government saying that the merged districts are not being given their full share in the NFC award.
