LAHORE: Former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi has accused India of staging the Pahalgam attack as a “drama” to avoid future matches with Pakistan.
Speaking to reporters at Lahore’s National Hockey Stadium, Afridi questioned how militants could operate for an hour without intervention from India’s large military presence.
Afridi claimed India has a history of blaming Pakistan unfairly, saying, “They harm their own people and then point fingers at others.”
He emphasized that Pakistan promotes peace, but India repeatedly rejects efforts to improve relations.
