PTI founder Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan has reacted strongly to the statements of Member of National Assembly Sher Afzal Marwat, saying that the person is “shameless” and his mental balance is not right.
Aleema Khan said that such people are sent to the media only to target Imran Khan and his family.
According to a private TV channel (Suno News), while talking to the media on the occasion of her appearance in the Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorism Court, Aleema Khan said, “Do not take Sher Afzal Marwat’s words seriously, his mental state is not right, do not waste time discussing them.”
Aleema Khan revealed that a serious case like murder (302) has also been registered against her, in which warrants have been issued. She said, “People ask why you don’t take bail? I say, if bail is granted in this case today, a new case will be filed tomorrow. Anyway, when it is necessary to arrest, we will do it.” She added that her real “crime” is that she conveys Imran Khan’s message to the public outside the jail.
Talking about Imran Khan’s sons Qasim and Suleman, Aleema Khan said that both of them have British passports and have applied for Pakistani visas. She said, “If the government does not grant them visas, they will raise their voice at the international level. How long will we continue to kill justice based on compulsion?” She sarcastically said that if necessary, “we will contact Talal Chaudhry for a visa as well.”
At the end of her speech, Aleema Khan appealed to the judiciary to make decisions without pressure, “We can only hope from the judges. Have courage, do justice, you will become heroes.
