Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has said that the centre is conspiring to impose an emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, I will not let any such conspiracy succeed.
Addressing the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on the occasion of the budget session, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur said that those who think that they will not be held accountable are mistaken, they will be held accountable wherever and whenever, after May 9, Imran Khan and the party were raided, all the founders started to destroy the PTI and the party, no one has seen such political revenge in the history of the world till date, what was done to the PTI is such a black chapter that will be remembered till the day of judgment.
Ali Amin Gandapur said that our mandate was stolen in 3 provinces, when I took over the province, I was paid only 18 days’ salary, there was peace in the whole of Pakistan during the PTI government, we condemn it but the drone attacks are not stopping.
The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa further said that we are not being met with Imran Khan, they want the budget not to be passed in any way, the federal government is conspiring to impose an emergency on the province, I will not let any such conspiracy succeed, if Imran Khan says so today, I will immediately dissolve the government, I will not give this authority of my leader to anyone else.
He said that Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi did not sign the results of the provincial government’s budget meeting, the governor believes that the budget should not be passed and a financial emergency should be imposed in the province, it is a constitutional compulsion to get the budget for the next fiscal year 2025-26 passed by the assembly, no one can terminate this assembly without the founding PTI, there is a government formed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with the mandate of the founding chairman, we were not consulted on the budget.
Ali Amin Gandapur said that we are passing the budget, the founding chairman can amend it whenever he wants.
The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has further said that powerful people should listen that if you think that there will be no accountability, then it is your mistake. The federation is not giving us the share of the districts merged in the NFC and the right to tobacco cess has been taken away from us, which is against the 18th Amendment. The federation will either have to abolish the 18th Amendment or we will have to pay tobacco cess.
